A couple weeks ago, the Walker Band traveled to Chicago, Illinois to participate in the Festival of Lights Parade along the Magnificent Mile in downtown Chicago. The band left late on Wednesday night, November 19th and returned on Sunday, November 23rd. While in Chicago, the band went on a short dinner cruise starting at the Navy Pier, visited the John Hancock building, and got to see the famous Blue Man Group. The band also had a chance to eat at some of Chicago’s famous restaurants, such as: Ed Debevics, Marcello’s, and Connie’s Pizza. On Saturday, November 22nd, the band marched in the Festival of Lights Parade for 250,000 people in Chicago, and came home on Sunday. Tonight, the Walker Band will be marching in the Jasper Christmas Parade, and will be playing their parade song from Chicago.
