Imagine that you were responsible for a fire that burned 1,700 acres, two homes, and injured one person. And the fire was still burning out of control with no end in site. Three men were camping out in an area of Los Angeles that camping is prohibited. As they threw paper in the camp fire, a wind gust spread the hot embers that started this huge fire. All three men were arrested and bail was set at $20,000 each. Thursday morning a total of 500 firefighters were battling this huge and dangerous fire. It hard to imagine this was just an accident. When camping outside remember to be careful and practice fire safety.
