As a senior in high school, I decided to take part in a class called Therapeutic Services. I knew I wanted to do something with in the medical field but wasn’t quite sure what exactly. As time progressed and I became more involved in the lectures, I realized this was where I needed to be in order to prepare me for the medical work field. This particular class has a contract with our local hospital, Walker Baptist Medical Center, that allows us, as student, to visit a few days a week and observe various occupations with some sort of limited hands on experience. I feel this really helps pave a road for some students who are still undecided about which medical occupation to choose. This class certainly has aided me in determining my future career path.
