The University of North Alabama is a fantastic college to attend. It’s in Florence, Alabama. All classes at UNA are taught by University faculty members, not graduate assistants. UNA has a student-teacher ratio of 23:1 and an average class size of 25. UNA strives to make their students feel at home. Tuition at UNA is among the lowest in the state and in the nation. So it’s economically pleasing. UNA also has a very nice honors program if you’re interested. The University of North Alabama offers many cultural opportunities, such as the Summer Theatre Program, the Distinguished Events Series, and the George Lindsey UNA Film Festival. One interesting fact about UNA is that their mascot is a lion. Two real lions live on campus. Their names are Leo and Una. They are brother and sister. I’m attending UNA in the fall, and so is Samantha Drummond. I interviewed her to find out more about her college decisions.
