I only applied to Alabama and UAB.
Why did you choose these colleges?
Alabama has always been my dream school! I applied to UAB because of their scholarships.
How important was your ACT and GPA when applying to these schools?
My ACT was very important for scholarships. My GPA was also an important part of my applications.
What advice would you give juniors who are planning to apply to college this fall?
Practice your ACT. Find a study partner! Also, make a lot of visits to colleges. Visit departments instead of just doing campus tours.
What major will you pursue and why?
I would like my major to be in either marketing or advertising. I have enjoyed doing graphic design for the yearbook and advertising for my church.
What are you going to miss the most about high school?
I’ll miss yearbook and my friends!
What will you miss the least about high school?
I won’t miss having to be at school until 3:10 in the afternoon. I feel like I could be doing much more with my time.
Are you going to have a job in college?
I do plan to have a job in college. I have worked during high school, and I feel that it has helped me learn time-management skills. Working has definitely prepared me for the future.
What is your biggest fear about college?
What makes you excited about college?
I’m excited about being able to begin preparing for my career. I’m also excited to become involved in ministry groups.
