In one of the most nail biting finals in recent memory, the University of Michigan lost to the University of Louisville, 82-76, Monday to end a stunning run in the NCAA Basketball Tournament. The match up was one for the ages, with an abundant display of alley-oops, three pointers, and rock hard defense. The Cardinals played without Kevin Ware, the sophomore guard who suffered one of the most graphing injuries in college sports while playing Duke on March 31. Louisville Head Coach Rick Pitino said his team was able to top the Wolverines’ “absolutely incredible” performance “probably because I have the 13 toughest guys I’ve ever coached.” At the end of the game, sophomore guard Kevin Ware cut down the nets as it was a memorable moment for sports fans all around the world.
