On Thursday, January 3, 2013, 11th and 12th graders and their parents attended “WHS iPad Launch Night” where each student received his or her own iPad for school use. Students and teachers are very excited to begin using their iPads. Many teachers put this new iPad initiative to use the very next day: Friday, January 4th.
Mrs. Lyle’s second block class used the iPads to conduct a career analysis. Afterwards they created a fun project with their newly acquired knowledge and technology.
Mrs. Goetz’s students did an exercise in which they researched the top languages of the world.
Mrs. Moore’s class planned to use the iPads for homework.
Mrs. Poe’ Pre-Cal class evaluated conterminal angles with the app Quickgraph™.
Mrs. Wright’s class practiced camera skills and tried out a story writing app.
The iPad Initiative is already proving to be helpful for students at WHS with just one day of use.
