Ms. Lockett and the FCCLA spent their Thanksgiving giving back to the community. They prepared Thanksgiving dinner for Hope for Women, a rehab facility in downtown Jasper. They made turkey, dressing, green beans, mac’n cheese, oven roasted red potatoes, homemade banana pudding, sweet potato pie and rolls. Ms. Lockett said that she hoped her students learned the importance of community service along with giving to the less fortunate. The FCCLA National Campaign is “No Kid Hungry”. This service will lead them one step closer to making their campaign slogan a reality.
