This week we are shining the spotlight on senior baseball player Chad Pritchett. The 2012 baseball team kicked off the season this week and has already had great success. Here are a few thing we asked Chad.
Pritchett: I focus on my individual role on the team in preparation for the game.
Q: How do you prepare physically before a game?
Pritchett: I work-out during the week to give my body endurance. On the day of a game, I hydrate well.
Q: What is the best part of your game?
Pritchett: My fielding.
Q: Do you feel that you hold an advantage when playing at Valley Park, your home field?
Pritchett: Yes, because I know where the bad hops are in the infield thanks to a lot of reps in practice.
Q: How do you celebrate after a big win?
Pritchett: I go to Arby’s or McDonald’s with the rest of the team.
Q: What do you aspire to achieve?
Pritchett: I hope to have no errors this season and to lead the team as best as I can.
Q: What do you like the most about being a senior on the baseball team?
Pritchett: As a leader, I enjoy certain benefits over the younger guys on the team.
Q: What plans do you have after high school?
Pritchett: I plan to go to college and become either a nurse or a baseball coach.
