Each week a Senior Athlete from one of Walker’s many sports programs will be interviewed and questioned on a variety of topics, such as pre-game rituals and mental preparation. This will provide insight on some interesting and unusual things our athletes do to prepare for competition. This week’s senior spotlight will be focused on Charles Odle, a Senior football player for the WHS Vikings. BTW: This team will be playing in the first round of the play offs at Fort Payne Friday night!
Odle: Pasta, anything pasta
Q: How do you prepare mentally the day of the game?
Odle: Shut down the outside, no goosing and giggling
Q: What is your favorite game day drink?
Q: What music do you listen to on game day?
Odle: I have a ‘Pre-Game’ playlist
Q: How do you celebrate a big win?
Odle: Lots of sleeping and eating!
Q: What do you like the most about being a senior on the WHS football team?
Odle: People look up to me to do right and set examples for others
