Each week a Senior Athlete from one of Walker’s many sports programs will be interviewed and questioned on a variety of topics, such as pre-game rituals and mental preparation. This will provide insight on some interesting and unusual things our athletes do to prepare for competition. This week’s senior spotlight will be focused on Hannah Sparkman, a Senior volleyball player for the Vikings. They’re volleyball season recently ended and we wanted to recognize Hannah as a vital component to the success of the team.
Q: How do you prepare mentally the day of the game? Sparkman: I listen to my iPod
Q: What is your favorite game day drink? Sparkman: Gatorade
Q: What music do you listen to on game day? Sparkman: Hip hop and crunk music
Q: How do you celebrate a big win? Sparkman: Sometimes a crunk circle and sometimes I go out to eat.
Q: What do you like the most about being a senior on the Volleyball team? Sparkman: Showing good leadership to the others.
