Lacking something in your life, or would you like to develop a stronger faith? Either way you can do so by joining Walker High’s AGAPE club.
AGAPE is a Christian club in which the members, who meet before school on the last Friday of every month, encourage each other and share significant scripture. AGAPE is the Greek word for love, so the AGAPE Club makes loving others and encouraging others as their main goal. Mrs. Walton said, “We have guest speakers ranging from students to Mrs. Dutton’s husband, who shared some inspirational singing on occasion.
This month we will be having a student speaker”. To become a member you must fill out an application, which includes explaining how AGAPE is meaningful to you, pay your $15.00 dues, and come to devotion.
The club traditionally eats breakfast together during the devotions. The devotions are open to everyone. The sponsors are Mrs. Dutton and Mrs. Walton and they encourage anyone interested to stop by and talk to them or come to a devotion.
