On March 23, The Walker Track Team competed in its second track meet of the season at Carbon Hill. Caroline Rector and Pollyann Scruggs got the show started by taking control of the long and triple jump. Caroline came first in both the long and triple jump followed by Pollyann Scruggs placing second in the long jump and third in the triple jump. Jeff Guidry kept the show alive in the shot put by placing second and throwing a whopping 37ft. Other throwers include Jay Key, Wesley Williams, Andrew Reed, James Reed, Blake Robbins, and Jared Johnson.
Shortly after, Joe Grace took second place in the javelin by throwing 137ft. in muddy conditions. Other throwers were Andrew Reed, James Reed, and Jared Johnson. The show was carried on by Jacquese Kirk winning the 100 meter dash with an impressive time of 11.00 and also winning the 200 meter dash, others who competed in the 100 and 200 were Brandon Douglas, Jeff Guidry, and Dylan Adams. Guy Able ran in the open 400 meter run, running the time of 58 seconds. While in the girls division, Jessi Anderson represented Walker in the 100 and 200 meter dash. Ashley Kamplain ran the 400 and 800 meter run. Heidi Keller raced in the 200. Gabby Mijares took second place in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:08. Anna Nicolson came in second in the 1600 meter run. Hannah Sparkman did impressively well in the 100, 200, and 400 meter dashes.
As far as the distance races went, three of the walker boys took control. Andrew Harris finished first in the 800 meter run with a phenomenal time of 2:05, and also finished first in the 1600 running a 4:51. Bradford Lepik finished second in the 800 meter and ran a remarkable time of 2:12, in the 1600 he also took second place running a 5:00. Hunter Hawkins continued the streak by coming in third place and a time of 2:18 in the 800, and a 5:21 in the 1600 meter placing fourth. The grand finale came when these three runners along with Dylan Adams dominated the 4*800 meter relay placing first with an impressive 100 meter lead over their competitors. The girls 4*800 meter relay also did well placing second. The Producers of the show are Coach Mansel, Coach Phillips, Coach Gay, and Coach Moore.
